Create Happening

Event Structure Guidelines

A complete Happening requires three components:

  1. Basic Info (title, description, type, status)
  2. At least one Date/Time
  3. At least one Location – either a linked *Venue* or an *Address*

You can create the basics now, but the event will only be visible to guests once a Date and Location are confirmed.

Basics
When (optional at first, but required for a complete happening)
Leave blank if there’s no venue. You can instead enter an address below.
Dates can be added later from the “Manage Dates” page, but at least one date is needed for guests to know when this happens. If a date is created and recurrence is set, the next 5 dates will auto-generate.
Address (optional; cannot be used with a venue)
Choose “Other / International” to enter a custom region.
Location rule: a complete happening needs either a linked venue or an address (but not both). If you pick a venue, do not enter an address. If you enter an address, clear the venue.

e.g., every 1 week, every 2 months.

Optional: skip N occurrences between each one (0 = none).
If a first date is created and recurrence is enabled, the next 5 dates will be generated automatically.
