Brooklyn is a community of thinkers, creators, and change-makers, and the Verso Spring Lecture: Climate and Capital perfectly reflects that spirit. Hosted at Verso Books—our local haven for progressive literature and discussion—this event brings the global climate conversation directly to the neighborhood. Dr. Samira Patel will connect the dots between climate urgency and the realities of capitalism, offering insights uniquely relevant to Brooklynites committed to sustainability and social justice. In the warm, engaging atmosphere of Verso Books, this lecture fosters grassroots action, networking, and the strengthening of our local voice in the larger environmental movement. For Brooklyn, this isn’t just another event—it’s a catalyst for community-led change.
