Why the Benjamin Franklin Lecture Series Matters for Philadelphia: For generations, Benjamin Franklin has been at the heart of Philadelphia’s story—an innovator whose ideas built the backbone of our city. This new lecture series at the historic Merchants' Exchange Building isn’t just another educational event; it’s a celebration of Philly’s spirit and legacy. Held in a venue that once buzzed with merchant deals and lively debate, the event connects locals to the buildings and commerce that shaped their neighborhoods. It encourages us to value our architectural treasures and the creative thinkers who came before us. For the Philadelphia community, this is a chance to honor our roots, engage in thoughtful discussion, and spark civic pride in the legacy of Franklin and the city we call home.
