Few events capture the heart of San Antonio’s vibrant community spirit like the annual Model Railroad Show at the Texas Transportation Museum. It’s more than just an exhibition—it’s a celebration of local creativity, heritage, and connection. The show brings together skilled hobbyists, families, and newcomers, offering everyone a chance to appreciate the artistry of model railroading amid the museum’s vintage charm and interactive displays. As the echo of miniature trains fills the halls, stories of the city’s transportation legacy come to life. For San Antonians, supporting this event means championing local clubs, inspiring young minds, and keeping our shared history on track for the next generation. This is why the Model Railroad Show matters—it weaves together the threads of our past, present, and future, right here at the Texas Transportation Museum.
