About Discovery Park
Discovery Park is Seattle’s largest public park, spanning over 534 acres in the Magnolia neighborhood and offering spectacular views of Puget Sound, the Cascade, and Olympic Mountains. The park features a diverse landscape of forests, beaches, prairies, bluffs, meadows, and tidal beaches, providing an expansive natural setting for visitors. It contains nearly 12 miles of walking trails, including the Discovery Park Loop Trail, a designated National Recreation Trail. Discovery Park is home to the historic West Point Lighthouse and the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center, a vibrant hub for Native American culture and community events. Amenities include free parking, a shuttle bus service between key park locations, and programs at the Environmental Learning Center.
