Capitol Theatre - Windsor, ON

The Capitol Theatre is a historic performing arts venue located in the heart of downtown Windsor, Ontario. Originally opened on December 30, 1920, and designed by renowned architect Thomas W. Lamb, it was once the largest single-floor theatre in Canada. The theatre was restored and reopened in 1995 and now serves as a multi-purpose facility for dance, music, drama, film, and literature. Owned by the City of Windsor and managed by the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, the Capitol comprises three separate auditoria connected by a classic lobby and bar. Recognized as a cultural landmark, the theatre is available for community events, local artists, and private rentals.
