Portland Art Museum

The Portland Art Museum, established in 1892, is the oldest museum in the Pacific Northwest and one of the largest on the West Coast. It features over 42,000 works of art spanning a wide range of cultures and time periods, including dedicated centers for Native American, Northwest, modern, contemporary, and Asian art. Located in downtown Portland’s Cultural District, the museum boasts a two-block campus, with over 112,000 square feet of gallery space and an outdoor sculpture court. A major expansion completed in 2025 added 100,000 square feet of public and gallery space, further enhancing visitor access and exhibitions. The museum is recognized as a Portland Historic Landmark and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.
