Museum of Wisconsin Art

The Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) is a prominent art museum located in West Bend, Wisconsin, featuring contemporary and historical works by Wisconsin artists. Founded in 1961 by Melitta Hedwig Suder-Pick to preserve the legacy of Carl von Marr, it has grown to showcase a broad range of artists from across the state. In 2013, MOWA moved into a modern, sculptural building situated along the Milwaukee River, near downtown West Bend. The museum is notable for its unique annual membership model, offering unlimited access instead of traditional single-day admission. MOWA hosts changing exhibitions, solo artist shows, educational programs, and wellness workshops, drawing over 200,000 visitors annually.
