East River Park

East River Park is a 57-acre public park in Manhattan stretching from Montgomery Street to East 12th Street along the FDR Drive, with scenic waterfront views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. The park features a variety of sports facilities, including baseball fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts. It has undergone significant transformation as part of the East Side Coastal Resiliency project, aimed at protecting Lower Manhattan from flooding and enhancing community access to the waterfront. Portions of the park have recently reopened after major climate adaptation and flood protection efforts, with additional areas under construction until 2027. The park also hosts seasonal cultural and musical events in its amphitheater during the summer months.
