About Nassau County Museum of Art
The Nassau County Museum of Art, established in 1969, is situated on the historic 145-acre Frick "Clayton" Estate in Roslyn Harbor, New York. Its main building, the Arnold and Joan Saltzman Fine Arts Building, is a neo-Georgian mansion designed by Ogden Codman Jr. around 1900. The museum is renowned for its collection of more than 600 art objects, featuring American and European works from the 19th and 20th centuries by artists such as Auguste Rodin, Roy Lichtenstein, and Frank Stella. The grounds include a sculpture garden, arboretum, formal gardens, and coastal grassland restoration areas. NCMA offers a variety of exhibitions, educational programs, family events, and artist-in-residence opportunities for nearly 200,000 annual visitors.
