Poetry Foundation

The Poetry Foundation in Chicago is a leading literary institution devoted to raising the visibility of poetry and American culture. Located in the vibrant River North neighborhood, the modern, ADA-compliant building houses a public garden, gallery, and a library with more than 30,000 volumes of poetry. The Foundation is publisher of 'Poetry' magazine, the oldest monthly publication dedicated to verse in the English-speaking world. It offers free public events, exhibitions, and resources to foster community engagement with poetry, alongside workshops and educational programs. Established in 2003 following a major bequest, the Poetry Foundation aims to support poets and expand appreciation for poetry.
