Maine Mill

Maine MILL (Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor) is a cultural museum located in Lewiston, Maine, dedicated to celebrating the history and heritage of the region’s workers and communities. The museum is housed in the renovated former Camden Yarns Mill at 1 Beech Street, featuring expansive permanent and temporary galleries, a classroom, design lab, and community event spaces. Exhibits explore the interconnected themes of Community, Labor, Innovation, and Maine Today, drawing from an extensive collection of artifacts, photographs, and oral histories. The Atrium Gallery, a signature gathering space with views of Simard-Payne Park and the Androscoggin River, features contemporary art inspired by Lewiston’s industrial legacy. Maine MILL also plays a key role as a community hub, engaging in local history, cultural programming, and memorials for significant events.
