About Vern Riffe Center
Located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts is a 32-story government building that also serves as a hub for arts and cultural events. The facility houses the Riffe Center Theatre Complex, featuring the Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Theatre, three studio-style theatres, and a scenery and costume shop. It is managed by the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts and regularly hosts performances by groups such as CATCO, BalletMet, and The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio. The center also includes the Riffe Gallery on the first floor and provides easy access to parking, public transit, and dining options nearby. Originally built in 1988 and named after Vernal G. Riffe, Jr., the center accommodates nearly 2,000 State employees and remains a focal point for both government operations and artistic programming.
