The Angus Bowmer Theatre is the flagship indoor venue of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, located in Ashland, Oregon. Opened in 1970 with a production of 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead,' the theatre marked a significant expansion for the Festival, allowing performances to run nine months each year. It hosts a wide variety of classic and contemporary plays in repertory, drawing hundreds of thousands of guests annually. The theatre is named after Angus L. Bowmer, the Festival's founder, and forms part of one of the oldest and largest non-profit professional theatres in the United States. Visitors can enjoy world-class talent and state-of-the-art production design as part of the Festival's annual March to October season.
