About Roble Gym
Roble Gym at Stanford University is a historic building originally designed in 1931 by renowned architects Bakewell and Brown. It served as the university's women's gymnasium and has recently undergone a $28 million renovation. Today, it functions as a dynamic creative hub, known as the Roble Arts Gym, offering drop-in art-making spaces for students across disciplines. The facility provides areas for informal performances, rehearsals, project work, and fosters a community of art-makers. Roble Gym is also the home of Stanford's Department of Theater and Performance Studies, supporting both academic and creative activities.
