Harvard Science and Engineering Complex

The Harvard Science and Engineering Complex (SEC) is a landmark facility located at 150 Western Avenue, Allston, MA. Designed by Behnisch Architekten and completed in 2020, the SEC spans 544,000 square feet and houses the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). It accommodates classrooms, teaching labs, research labs, a library, student lounges, and a café, fostering interdisciplinary research and academic collaboration. The building is certified LEED Platinum and has achieved several Living Building Challenge petals, reflecting its strong commitment to sustainability and innovative design. The SEC serves as a hub for programs in bioengineering, computer science, robotics, data science, and more, supporting both faculty and student activities.
