About National Museum of the U.S. Air Force
The National Museum of the United States Air Force, located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio, is the world's largest and oldest military aviation museum. With more than 360 aircraft and missiles on display and 19 acres of indoor exhibit space, it attracts about one million visitors annually. The museum organizes its extensive exhibits chronologically, covering early aviation, World War II, Korean War, Cold War, Space, Missile, and Presidential galleries. Notable features include the fourth hangar, opened in 2016, which consolidates the presidential and research aircraft collections, as well as Memorial Park and the co-located National Aviation Hall of Fame. Admission is free and educational outreach programs inspire visitors of all ages to learn about the history and mission of the U.S. Air Force.
